The purpose of the course is to build on students’ skills and prepare them for the world of work. The course is designed to support students who do not wish to progress to university, but still want to embark on a career within the creative arts. Allowing them to be better prepared for the future and be more employable within their chosen field.

What do I need to apply

To do this course you should have... 

A portfolio of work and Level 3 Qualifcations. 

Ideally a Merit Grade at Level 3, or 2 A levels at Grades B/B. 

A strong portfolio can be considered in Lieu of relevant qualifications. 

What about work experience? 

Students will be encouraged to seek out creative self-employed opportunities throughout the course and undertake live briefs to develop an understanding of the world of work within the creative industries.

Associated Costs

Course Content 

The intention of the qualification is to give students the opportunity to develop their creative ideas and initiate business ventures. The UAL Level 4 Professional Diploma in Creative Enterprise has been designed to provide students with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to develop their careers as entrepreneurs. This qualification will provide students with an opportunity to cultivate their employability by developing their creative enterprise skills, expanding their industry contact base while developing their start-up projects and professional practice.

The qualification has been designed to ensure it provides students with the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to prepare them for employment, including self-employment and/or support a role in the workplace in the chosen industry. The qualification can be used as a starting point to enable them to explore the basis of entrepreneurial activity by developing essential business and management skills in order to identify and respond to business opportunities in their chosen industry.
