NCFE CACHE Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools and Colleges

This course is an introduction to the knowledge needed to work in a school or college.  It links to varied support staff roles including Teaching Assistants, administration & site support roles. 

Many students secure a voluntary placement during the Award course and on completion of the qualification continue to the Certificate, which they are then able to complete more quickly than the usual 10 months. 

NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning
If you are volunteering or employed as a Teaching Assistant in a school or college, this 10 month course will provide an understanding of the knowledge and skills needed when working in a supervised role with children and young people.
 
There are 11 units including equality and diversity, safeguarding and effective learning environments.
 
NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning
If you have been working as a Teaching Assistant or volunteering in a school or college for over a year, with a high level of responsibility, then this 12 month course is for you. It includes 16 units covering all aspects of specialist support including planning, delivering and assessment for learning, special needs and disabilities, the use of IT in the learning environment, bilingual support and personal development and reflective practice.
