Course Overview
The Level 1 Progression Programme is aimed at students who are undecided about their future career options and who wish to gain a Level 1 qualification which will help them progress onto a Level 2 course, an apprenticeship or into work.
The course is designed to enable students to gain a Level 1 qualification whilst improving their English and Maths. Students will have regular meetings with their personal tutor to ensure that they are making good progress with their course.
It is for students who are not currently studying a course or in an apprenticeship. It is for students who do not have Grade 4 or above in English and/or Maths.
There are no formal entry requirements but to benefit from this course, you must be committed to improving your qualifications and skills. Alternatively, successful completion of a Foundation Entry Level 3 qualification and have achieved an Entry Level 3 Functional Skill in English and Maths.
Admission is by interview.
All students have the opportunity to undertake a relevant work experience as part of their course.
Students may progress onto other college courses at Level 1 or Level 2, to an apprenticeship or employment.
There are no course fees for students.
