Course Overview

The focus on Digital and IT skills has never been more important and is a current priority of the UK Government as they recognise there is a widening gap in the number of people who possess the right skills and knowledge required for the modern digital workforce. Experts say that digital skills are vital to the recovery of the economy post-pandemic.  Everything Digital & IT Level 2 is the first step in understanding the skills, knowledge and behaviours that are required to be able to work effectively with digital and IT demands as most jobs roles will require a competent understanding of the subject. Come and study Digital and IT with the successful EvDIT Team. At Level 2, you will gain relevant skills and an IT industry-recognised qualification, giving you the chance to progress on to a Level 3 study programme or onto apprenticeship training.  Around 88% of our students progress from level 2 to 3, and there’s also the option for a 3-year programme to gain the maximum depth and breadth of understanding.

Our experienced and specialist lecturers try to make sure that learning is fun!  We will look at preparing you for the world of work and the first step in that direction is looking at what employers are expecting in their staff, so a focus on employability skills is embedded in this course. We also organise guest speakers and workshops which allow you to see, first hand, what employers are expecting from their IT employees. Visits to interesting and relevant events will also be part of your course of study.

This course will be your introduction to the IT skills and techniques you will need to operate in a variety of IT careers to meet the changing technological landscape. This course will help you to develop your creative skills while underpinning your technical skills. You will gain experience and also apply hands-on practical skills, preparing you for the workplace or progression to further education.
