Free Online Course - Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health

For each qualification the learner receives a hard copy/learning pack, which contains all the theory and knowledge a learner will need to achieve these Level 2 qualifications. We use a online learning platform known as eAssessor to submit your answers to the course, the course is broken into topics/sections and you submit your studies to your assessor for feedback as you work your way through.

What you will learn:

Unit 01: Understanding the context of mental health and wellbeing 
Unit 02: Promotion of mental health and wellbeing 
Unit 03: Mental health problems: associated issues and consequences 
Unit 04: Understanding mental ill health
Unit 05: Working in mental health
 

These funded courses are available for anyone that is 19 years old and over, that have lived in the EU/UK for the past 3 years.

No previous experience or knowledge of this subject is required.

1. Level 4 Certificate in Mental Health: Dive deeper into specialised topics related to mental health care, enhancing your expertise and skills for more advanced roles.

2. Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Mental Health: This qualification will provide practical strategies for supporting individuals with mental health issues, suitable for various professional settings.

3. Higher Education: Pursue a degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Mental Health Nursing to expand your understanding and open doors to new career opportunities.

Upon completion of the Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health, a range of career paths and opportunities for further development become available. This qualification not only enhances your knowledge and skills, making you more effective in your current role, but also opens doors to various positions, including:

• Teaching Assistant: Supporting students with mental health concerns within educational settings, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.

• Youth Worker: Assisting young people in managing mental health challenges through mentoring, guidance, and community engagement.

• Support Worker: Providing care and assistance to vulnerable children and young people in residential care, fostering services, or community initiatives.

• Family Support Worker: Offering emotional support and guidance to families navigating children’s mental health issues, helping them access appropriate resources.

• Healthcare Assistant: Working in healthcare settings, particularly in mental health units or pediatric wards, supporting children and young people in their recovery and well-being.

These courses are offered 'free' on the proviso that the course is completed. If you fail to complete any course, you will be liable to pay a £125.00 administrative fee.

These courses are offered 'free' on the proviso that the course is completed. If you fail to complete any course, you will be liable to pay a £250.00 Administrative Fee.

The durations of the courses is 3-4 months and we recommend to around 2-3 hours per week to self study.
