Course Overview

This course is designed for domestic heating engineers to comply with the relevant legislation on energy efficiency.

Installers play a key role in advising householders on which boiler to install and it is important to install energy efficient heating systems in order to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and to comply with building regulations. This training programme will help you understand the relationship between energy and climate change and how these impact on your day to day business.

The course will cover the following subjects:

  • Central heating system specifications
  • Domestic heating by oil
  • Domestic heating by gas
  • Whole house boiler sizing method
  • How to choose an efficient boiler
  • How to comply with the building regulations

To apply for this course you should be Gas Safety registered and be a competent installer of central heating systems.

There is a 75 minute multi-choice question paper to achieve the qualification.
