Department Overview

All our courses are practical and hands-on. You’ll be taught in well-equipped workshops with industry-standard equipment, so you’ll be working in real conditions. We have a good supply of modern light vehicles including Electric and Hybrids along with diagnostic equipment for you to work with.

You’ll get the opportunity to do work experience as part of your course. You’ll also interact with other disciplines in the engineering sector.

The exciting automotive industry is constantly growing and evolving. It offers a huge variety of career opportunities – from automotive maintenance to workshop management. Our students go on to a wide range of jobs in the sector, from light vehicle maintenance, repair and fitting to HGV and PSV areas.
