Standard Apprenticeship entry criteria

We have specific entry criteria for Intermediate, Advanced, Higher and Degree Apprenticeships, however some Apprenticeships, and employers' requirements can vary. As a guide we have outlined our standard entry criteria below.

Intermediate Apprenticeship

Typically a minimum of 4 GCSEs 9-2 including English and Maths, and science for some programmes, or a Level 1 Functional Skill in English and Maths.

Advanced Apprenticeship

Typically a minimum of 4 GCSEs 9-4 including English and Maths, or a Level 2 Functional Skill in English and Maths.

Higher Apprenticeship

Typically a minimum of 48 UCAS Tariff Points from two A Levels, or equivalent Level 3 qualification (e.g. Advanced Apprenticeship) in a relevant subject, plus four GCSEs at grade 9-4 including English and Maths grades or an equivalent qualification.

Degree Level Apprenticeship

Employers’ requirements can vary. Degree Level must have at least a level 3 qualification or extensive relevant experience within the industry. Please get in touch to discuss further.
