Every year our new and returning students are greeted with ‘Welcome Fest’ in the early part of term, where they can obtain freebies, get to know staff and our associated organisations and mingle with other students.

Welcome Fest is your chance to enjoy being a new student in our college – your college – and to network and have fun.  This year the Welcome Fest week runs from Monday, 9th September through to Thursday, 12th September 2024; and there’s a whole mixture of events and activities to take part in. 

We’ll be running events across both our campuses and we’re very excited to welcome our Fulcum Centre students to join us at the Poole Campus.  

At our Bournemouth Campus, we’ll have the following:

  • Welcome Stand- free tea or coffee and music
  • Free Glitter Tattoos & face painting
  • Free photobooth 
  • Stalls- local charities & businesses
  • Student Inclusion and Support Teams on hand throughout
  • Meet the Student Engagement & Enrichment Team
  • Prizes to be won
  • Freebies 

And, furthermore at the Poole Campus, we will be offering:

All activities will be open to students and staff. So please make sure you get your glitter tattoos, hit the photobooth, test out the surf simulator, grab a pizza and head to the main stage to chill out on the outdoor sofas to your favourite tunes brought to you by our Welcome Fest DJ!

*Please note- due to the ongoing construction of our Bournemouth Campus some key activities will take place at our Poole Campus and students at Bournemouth will be supported to access these.
