Last week, 17 Student Reps attended the Spring Term Student Parliament meeting, representing a wide range of college directorates. Vice Principal for Curriculum & Quality, Ali Leaverland, was in attendance alongside Lead Personal Development Facilitator, Michelle Pritchard and Director of Student Inclusion and Support, Lloyd Perry.

During Student Parliament, Representatives were given the chance to network with peers from separate directorates as well as a number of executive staff members, before engaging in conversation of the key topics.

A number of key topics were discussed during the meeting, including the availability and maintenance of college equipment and the awareness of vape culture among the student community. It was also reflected how students are beginning to see the effects of their feedback taking shape and appreciation for student voice meetings such as this was shared by many in attendance.

The Student Parliament meetings will continue to play a vital role in shaping an inclusive and responsive student experience at the college, with the third and final meeting of the academic year scheduled for late May. Meanwhile. the next round of Director of Learning Feedback Meetings are due to take place in the interim alongside this year's Student Voice Conference which is due to focus on "Your Impact on Our Community."

We remain determined and excited to share further signs of our commitment to the Student Voice initiative across the rest of the academic year!
