Plumbing Student Wins £1000 Prize Toolkit
Surrey-based Monument, a company that manufactures plumbing tools, opened a competition to win a £1000 toolkit and Bournemouth and Poole College student, Harley – won a top prize!
Harley’s task was to write a cover letter on why he was keen to enter the industry.
Big congratulations go to Harley who won a complete set of quality plumbing hand tools from monument tools. Harley said of his win: “I am very happy and thankful to Monument Tools. I am looking forward to putting the tools to good use!”
Nic Drew, Account Manager at Monument Tools said: “The best part of my job at Monument is letting the lucky six know they’ve been awarded one of the tool bursaries. Harley was one of only a few to make the short list from over 160 applications this year.
“The committee were impressed with his tenacity to find an employer able to take him on as an apprentice.
“We wish him all the best in fulfilling his potential at Bournemouth & Poole College and going on to become one of our much-needed future trade professionals.”
