Our working salons and professional make-up studio are based at our Lansdowne site in Bournemouth. Our students are guided by our professional lecturers with a wealth of actual industry experience. We offer courses from level 1 to level 3, with some adult-specific courses running in the evenings.

The hair and beauty industry is thriving and with an 8% industry growth predicted in the next five years, there’s never been a better time to consider a hair or beauty career. Using industry-relevant equipment, techniques and working with paying clients, our dedicated commercial areas introduce students to the skills necessary for a successful career in this sector. All students complete a work experience with local employers to gain extra salon exposure.

Hair facilities:

  • 5 fully equipped commercial salons, including barbering
  • Relevant industry settings for services such as Cut & Blow-dries; Highlights; Root and full colouring; Balayage
  • Products include Wella, IQ and Osmo.

Beauty facilities:

  • 5 beauty salons including specialist make-up and nail salon
  • Industry standard equipment for treatments including waxing, facials, manicures, pedicures, nails and fashion/media make-up
  • Products include Dermalogica, St Tropez and Kaeso.

Book yourself in for a relaxing massage or a complete re-style with us and experience our bespoke commercial salons, luxurious products and highly skilled therapists and stylists. Our salons offer an impressive range of treatments. Our trainee therapists and stylists are supervised by well-qualified tutors with many years’ industry experience.

Our training salons are open during the week and we're sure you will find something to suit you, plus you’ll be supporting our eager trainees and boosting their experience. All at a fraction of what you’d pay on the high street, you’ll get excellent value for money.
