If you’re interested in studying Engineering, you’ll train in our outstanding state-of-the-art facilities, all based at our Poole campus. Plus, our facilities recently received a major upgrade following an investment secured by Dorset LEP through the Dorset Growth Deal.
We offer a wide range of Engineering courses from Marine to Fabrication and Welding through to Electronics. Our facilities help students gain the skills they will need whether they continue into a career straight away or decide to go onto university.

- Fully-equipped welding bays
- Lathe and milling areas
- Electronics training facility
- AutoCAD classrooms
- 3D printing facilities
- Surface-mount, rework and soldering equipment
- Specialist equipment including a Caterpillar Marine Power diesel generator and HAAS CNC machines
- A range of electric vehicles and electric propulsion systems for marine craft
- A purpose-built T Level training facility from September 2024.
