We are pleased to announce our winner of our Bournemouth & Poole College Star of the Month for November– David Aston!
This award recognises the contributions staff have made, and their unwavering dedication in going above and beyond to enhance the student experience here at The College.
Our brilliant judging panel is made up of a selection of staff from across the college, who have done a great job at reviewing the nominations and selecting each month’s winners
Our November Star of the Month has received two nominations this month. Firstly, for taking on a new role with a positive attitude and ensuring that the apprentices are at the heart of everything. He has ensured that upon leaving his previous role, he has continued to support his former colleagues in the smooth running of the EPA process for our carpentry students.
David kindly gave up this time to make 70 wooden crosses which were used as part of our Remembrance Service across our two main sites. His crosses made a real impact and a central focus point for our services enabling members of our college community to be involved by placing crosses on behalf of departments.
David shared his thoughts with our marketing and communications team. He was more than happy to receive this award:
“I'm really pleased to be nominated and to receive this certificate - it’s nice to be known for what you do and to be recognised. It’s a nice surprise."
He received a prize of a £60 Amazon Voucher and an additional day of annual leave.
